Auxialliary maintained her unblemished form when she won the Kakatiya Cup for the second year in succession. Jockey Imran Khan had an arm chair ride to victory on this five year old mare from Donald Netto's stable. Lanchashire finished second ahead of Buddy Brothers and Citi Storm.

With this win, Imran Khan has gone one point ahead of Harish in the fight for the jockey's championship. Nitin Singh, who is turning out to be a promising rider, is behind the leader by three points. Will this fight for championship be stretched to the wire? One will have to wait and watch, as Harish who didn't ride on Friday is believed to have parted ways from his retained stable. When contacted, trainer Deshmukh confirmed the news and expressed his displeasure over the way Harish rode Attractress in the Derby. "He did not ride as per instructions and we do not approve the way he handled the filly in the Derby", where the filly finished second, "he is out of our stable", was Vittal Deshmukh's reaction.

Donald Netto had a great Friday, leading in a quadruple. Glorious Bay, Green Haven, Auxiliary and Bold Blast brought laurels to Netto. Green Haven showed her supremacy, making it three in a row and her fourth win this winter, when she won the Kosuru Sitarama Raju Trophy. Glorious Bay made every post a winning one in the lower division of the Kings Crown Plate giving jockey R.B.Shinde a much needed win.

Bold Blast with a flying finish through the field snatched the M.L.N. Reddy Memorial Cup close home. Adamant Approach led till 200 metres and surrendered the lead to Mission Chief. As Bold Blast began to gain momentum in the final 100 metres, Adamant Approach also galloped with renewed vigour to finish a close third.

The favourite, Ocean of Pearls shot into the front on top of the home stretch, in the Dinky Do Plate, and was shaping like a winner when Pacific Groove came up with a sustained run and after a duel in the last 100 metres strode out better by half a length. Encounter reared up in the gates and was withdrawn after the rider got injured in the process.

Cherokee Fighter trounced the opposition in the Gold Commission Plate, the opening race of the day. On a start to finish mission in the 2000 metres trip, Cherokee Fighter was never in trouble throughout the race. Global Star, in last position till the last 100 metres, finished second.

Sugar Baby justified the support she received in the betting by winning the higher division of the Kings Crown Plate from start to finish. Queen of Sheeba was in futile chase throughout the straight.

The Illustrious Reign Plate was divided into two races and the lower division was won by Page Three by a short head. Page Three, drawn widest of all, did well to get to the inner rails as the gates opened and led the field. Cogent fought out briefly on the straight and gave up. Indian Archer and Lenavi began to launch an assault within the final furlong and inched closer with every stride. The three went past the winning post in a close finish. It was clear that Lenavi had finished third but had to wait for the judge to declare Page Three the winner.

N.M. Sequeira who replaced the injured Abhinay on Fabulous Crown in the higher division, scored an encore to register a double. John Galt, Proud Accolade and Jet Express took the minor placing.
