Six races went through at Hyderabad on Saturday with half of them bringing out short head verdicts. Million Deal was the only firm favourite to oblige on a day when outsiders were in the forefront.

Adamant Approach won The Ivanjica Trophy, the feature of the day. Adamant Approach was ignored in the betting with his older colleagues Hypnotiq and Commander Moial garnering all the support. Adamant Approach got off to a good start and led all the way to the finish in a fast run race. Straightening up for home he had a useful lead of over three lengths over Hyponitiq who probably found the pace too hot. Commander Moial finished second ahead of Hypnotiq.
Accordian just managed to win The Loyal Prince Plate from Ninja Power by the shortest of margins. Central Command who had won his earlier start, was running after nearly ten weeks, was posted as the even money favourite. Ninja Power who led from the start was challenged by Central Command on the straight. Imran Khan on Ninja Power in his enthusiasm to keep the advantage came out from the rails and that gave Accordion a great opportunity to slip in and forge ahead. Ninja came back again but was unlucky by a whisker. Central Command finished third.
Imran Khan was more prudent on Million Deal in The Salute Her Plate. Jumping out well from outside draw, Million Deal was quick to hug the rails and never looked back. Smart Choice played the second fiddle throughout.
Two races were run for horses which had run a race and not won since 1st July 2008. One among them was The Moulana Azad Plate which was won by Birdie. Fabulous Crown was struggling to hold forte at the distance post. Birdie came with a fluent run and took charge 100 meters from home. One in All finished second ahead of Cannon Scot.
The other race for non winners was The Kakinada Plate run over 1400 meters. Royal Flyer and Lady in Style went past the winning post locked together, with the verdict going in favour of the former by the shortest of margin. Hospitality had slipped into the lead on top of the straight. Royal Flyer came with a good gallop to surge ahead and held on to the late challenge of Lady in Style who was found to be running green towards the end. Hospitality finished third.
Bundle of Roses who had run suggestive races this season spoilt the party of Fearless Flame. Laxman Singh trained Fearless Flame was shaping like a winner in front of the Grand Stand when the Stable Mates Torrestrella and Bundle of Rosesstarted to devour ground. Bundle of Roses pipped Fearless Flame on the post to win as Torrestrella finished a close third.
