Royal Embassy Wins Feature

Royal Embassy was ridden to a comfortable victory in the Mica Empress Cup, the feature of the day's card. The favourite Lady Escort hit the front right from the start with Royal Embassy in tow throughout till the top of the straight. On the straight, Royal Embassy went ahead with ease and passed the winning post many lengths in front of Pillatronics and Realtor. Lady Escort fizzled out and finished fourth.

Satheesh's ward, Music Valley won the Salute Her Plate very impressively. Winning Strides stuck to the lead till the distance marker and thereupon Zango Amba and Music Valley started to dispute the issue. Imran brought out Music Valley with an impressive run to score an encore. Zambo Anga finished second ahead of Mayfair Girl who was full of running towards the finish. The favourite Sparks was found to be running four off the rails throughout and finished fourth.

ROYAL EMBASSY
Manduro spoilt the apple cart of Vijaysena in the Bhagyanagar Cup. Vijaysena had taken charge on the straight and was shaping like a winner when Monduro appeared with a flourish on the wide outside to pip Vijaysena at the wire. Golden Sabot ended up third –for the fourth time in a row this season – ahead of Amontillado.

Top weighted horses won both the divisions of the Blue Bird Plate. King's Fortune won the higher division with a resolute performance, zipping past the early leader Fabolous Crown. Sixth Element finished third ahead of Danzsingh. L.D'Silva's Vinaleo missed the course record by 0.03 seconds in the lower division. Set on a start to finish bid in the five furlong race, Vinaleo managed to hold on to Habituated's spirited challenge. Habituated looked to be plodding when given a run along the rails but raised a good gallop once she was pulled out on the outside. Apprentice B.Mukesh waved his whip in the air in jubilation and that probably cost Vinaleo a place in the record book.

Galloping Grocer decided to put on his galloping shoes and ran away in the higher division of the Sangam Plate with the rest of the field in hopeless chase. Bharadvij covered a lot of ground to finish second in front of Cannon View and Kohinoor Magic. Kohinoor Magic had lost some ground at the start after jumping out with the field.

The speedy Indian Brave Heart led till the last 200 meters wherefrom Sahebzadi challenged and went past to win in the lower division of the Sangam Plate. Indian Brave Heart was found to be making a renewed attempt towards the finish but couldn't get the right assistance from the saddle. Recast finished third.

Sugar Gold wrapped up the lower division of the Windscale Plate with a gallant run. Once he hit the front on the straight, he didn't let Grand Act, Mi Jinkle and Easy Mover get close and the trio had to fight out for the minor placing.

Royal Assembly, after a brief duel with Cygnet on the straight surged ahead and won the higher division, the concluding race. This gave jockey Ravinder Singh his double. Page Three who was closing in towards the finish ended third, a neck behind Cygnet.

The Owner, Trainer and Jockey combination of Dr.M.A.M.Ramaswamy, K.Satheesh and A.Imran Khan scored a double for the second consecutive day. It was a lucrative day for jockey Ravinder Singh who also finished the day with two wins.
