The Board of Stewards of the Hyderabad Race Club citing administrative reasons have resolved to advance the races scheduled for Sunday, 30th November,2008 and Monday,1st December 2008 to Thursday,27th and Friday,28th November 2008 respectively. They have also decided to cancel the races scheduled for Sunday, 7th December and Monday 8th December 2008. 
 
The Golconda 2000 Guineas (Grade II), originally scheduled for Sunday, 7TH December 2008 is now rescheduled and shall be run on Sunday, 21st December 2008.
 
According to reliable sources, Hyderabad Race Club are expecting stock of the specific vaccine to combat Equine Influenza, by Friday, 28th November 2008 and shall be going ahead with the process of  vaccinating their entire stock without wasting any time. Considering the fact that this dreaded virus has entered Karnataka and has already disrupted racing at Mysore, the decision of HRC shall be widely accoladed.
