After a fairly long period the Hyderabad Fillies Trial Stakes has
attracted a quality field of Seven fillies, three of them from the
home centre who have proved their mettle in their own way and the
other four beauties landing here from Bangalore. Of these seven, two
shall sport the 'Goldie Brown' colours of Dr.M.A.M.Ramaswamy. Queen's
Guest who is going to be piloted by B.Prakash has done nothing wrong
so far in her career and is tipped to clinch the first classic here.
This race shall be a test for Queen's Guest's staying capabilities and
her connections who expect this to be her launch pad for her future
Classic Ventures shall view this race keenly.
The other filly under trainer Ganapathy's tutelage is Violet Honey.
Barring her illustrious stable mate's potential to stay any distance,
she will be the dark un in the race. Jockey Y.S.Srinath who believes
that a race is not over till you pass the winning post will be in
action on Violet Honey.
The Darius Byramji trained Inspiring Trust will be guided by Jockey
Suraj Narredu who knows this track at the back of his mind. Inspiring
Trust who seems to be coming back from her early setback can be
trusted only after she proves herself.
Reflection Of Gold from S.Dominic's yard shall be ridden by
K.P.G.Appu. Reflection Of Gold has beaten some reputed horses while
carrying a back breaking weight of 60s in Bangalore. The question is
whether she can stay ?
Attractress who has shared the track with the likes of Set Alight and
Star Wave in Bangalore this summer has won a lead up race here this
season. After losing ground at the start she won easing up over a
metric mile. Jockey Harish shall be guiding her fortunes on this
Deshmukh trained filly.
Cassandra started her career in brilliant fashion winning the Golconda
Juvenile Million at Malakpet last winter. After that she has run four
races and except for The Fernhill's Palace Juvenile Million where she
finished off the board she has been quite consistent with her
performance. This S.S.Attaollahi schooled filly will be ridden by Ryan
Marshal.
Another local challenge comes from Dorabella who has won four of her
seven races so far. This includes a gusty performance this season
where she beat Bourbon Star. The Daniel Netto trained filly will be
partnered by J.H.Christopher who is known to spring surprises at this
centre.
