Diageo India, who entered race sponsorship in Western India, with a three-year tie-up for the Indian 2000 Guineas, has gone a step further by also associating with RWITC's Pune season.

The coming weekend will be heralded by the Smirnoff Black Race Day, where two races will be sponsored by Smirnoff. In addition, the race day offers entertainment with a Russian twist, and the top draw will be two lucky couples to win a fully paid trip to Moscow. A classy special enclosure will offer hors d'ouvres and a heady mix of cocktails through the day. The evening signs off with a party at a night club, for invitees only.

Sunday is the Johnnie Walker Race Day, where the Gold Label Turf Club Trophy, Grade 3, features the card with three supporting Johnnie Walker races. The afternoon kicks off with a high class brunch at the Turf Club House, before the action moves to the track. After the draw to Russia, a lucky couple can win a trip to Scotland with a visit to a Diageo's distillery thrown in for good measure! And the Johnnie Walker bars will be open to delight the connoisseur.

Mr Vivek Jain, Chairman, RWITC Marketing Group stated that, "Diageo presented a unique 2,000 Guineas last year. They are the only sponsors who have associated with both our seasons. They are now here to stay, and we expect an even bigger tie-up at our forthcoming Mumbai season."
