Uniform handicapping, free movement of horses, right to appeal against handicap allotted to a horse, live telecast of objections and Stewards’ enquiries were some of the subjects that came up for discussion at the meeting. The meeting also resolved to move in this direction and take steps to impress upon the Turf Authorities of India to address these issues. Accident insurance for horses and change in the procedure adopted in enquiries against professionals and issues concerning stable workers were the other matters that were debated.
