Panoramic Universal, leaders in the hospitality business with worldwide interests, is RWITC's newest sponsor. They will, in addition to hosting the Panoramic Universal Turf Challenge Trophy on Saturday, also run a unique contest, "The Turf Challenge", over the weekend of Sep 9-10. Mr Vivek Jain, Chairman, RWITC Marketing Working Group commented that, "The Turf Challenge is intended to bring an element of fun and excitement to the weekend and will reward professional accomplishment."

The challenge will offer prizes to the leading trainer and jockey of the weekend's racing, based on a point system. Points will be accumulated over all the races on Saturday and up to the Southern Command Trophy (Gr.3) on Sunday.

10 points will be awarded for winning a race, 6 for second place and 3 for third. A bonus of 10 points will be given to the winning trainer/jockey of The Panoramic Universal Turf Challenge Trophy. The winning trainer will get a free life membership for her/himself and family at the exclusive Pancards Clubs and Resorts at Baner Hills, near Pune. The triumphant jockey gets a cash prize of Rs.25,000. There will be consolation prizes of a free stay for two for two nights at the sponsors' property at Kalwa, Goa in each category. In addition, the Winning Double contest for the day will give away a free life membership at Pancards to the winner and consolation prizes of free stays at Goa.

To add a special touch the sponsors will host a dinner at their spanking new nightclub, Area 51, housed in a futuristic looking dome at Baner, with high-end techno equipment. They have invited all members of Pune, and visiting owners/members from Mumbai for the grandopening.
