Panchshil Million for maidens on Sunday
By Our Correspondent

Thirteen three-year-olds will fight it out at the Pune racecourse on Sunday for the Panchshil Million, the only million race for maiden juveniles in the country, with a purse of Rs. 10 lakhs.

It is going to be glamour vs. glamour off the racetrack as well, as the best turned out gents and ladies will vie for the Panchshil Style Stakes, with fabulous Tag Hauger watches going out to the best dressed gent and lady.

This event will also be keenly contested as well and will be judged by a man who knows a lot about style. Designer Kaushik Shimankar will do the honours. Kaushik had shown his collection to Pune not so long ago at a Panchshil fashion show. If the accessories suitably impress the judge (read hat or bag or necklace) some of the audience watching the races can take home two of his creations, which will be gifted to them as well!

Mr. Vivek Jain, Chairman, RWITC Marketing Working Group stated, "The introduction of the Panchshil Style Stakes on their Million Day will attempt to re-create the ambience of yester year where fashion adorned our race courses."

Mr. Atul Chordia, Managing Director, Panchshil Realty stated: "We are happy to be back at the RWITC as racing is a lifestyle sport and we at Panchshil are also a lifestyle brand."
The special Panchshil invitee enclosure will serve the finest wine and cheese while the invitees listen to some lilting unplugged music played at their tables with Pune's who's who and the glitterati will be there as well.

Of course there is something for the punters as well, who via a contest of skill stand to win betting vouchers if they can predict the winner of two races including the Panchshil Million. The free contest of skill forms is available in race books as well. The action promises to be exciting and be there to watch all the fun..
