Winner of the Gr 1 Bangalore Colts Trial Stakes in
2000, Allocated won his first start in Malaysia on August 7. Trained by Rashid Byramji in India,
Allocated was a rousing performer as a three-year old but lost form after running second in the
Gr 1 Deccan Derby. He was sent to Singapore along with a few other Indian horses but failed to regain his zest and ran
listlessly, placing just twice in 18 starts.
Allocated perhaps relished the change of scene as he won from his very first start in the Division 6 of
Class V over seven furlongs. Trained by Prakhash Pereira in Ipoh, the seven-year-old bay Indian gelding
by Placerville out of Arctic Theme (by Right Combination) is expected to move up in the
ratings now that he has found winning form.
Allocated was rated highly as a juvenile but he did justify his potential after his splendid show in the
Summer of 2000. Allocated had won six races from 14 starts in India and he
was owned by India’s leading racehorse owner Dr Vijay Mallya.
