Close on the heels of the imminent ban that stares in his face at his parent centre,
Bangalore-based jockey Y.S. Srinath has now incurred the wrath of the RWITC Stewards. Srinath riding licence stands suspended for two race-days starting September 23 and a fine of Rs.10000 has been imposed upon him after his appeal was partially allowed by the RWITC Stewards of the Club on Sunday.
Earlier, on Friday, the RWITC Stewards of the Meeting had held Srinath guilty of unsatisfactory riding atop the winner Dazzling Queen, after he forced his passage between two horses when there was no sufficient room, and handed him a suspension of six race-days. Interestingly, Srinath received another two-day suspension for his improper behaviour in the Stewards’ room. It is reported that
Srinath tendered an apology on this account before the Stewards on Sunday.
