Owing to unfit race track conditions because of heavy rain early in the week and also some other factors have compelled the stewards Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) to postpone the season's opener on November 5 to a later date. The ongoing owners, trainers and Bangalore Turf Club problems in understood to have left RCTC in a state of indecision pertaining to the fresh date this week. An anouncement in this regard is expected on Monday, and most likely, the season may get started by the weekend.
