Darius Byramji-trained Rose Garden tests positive

One more case of breach of medication rules has been detected after the four-year-old filly Rose Garden tested positive for Pentazocine, which falls in the list of Class III drug substances banned under the Rules of medication of the RWITC. Rose Garden, who is owned by Mr S. Rangarajan and trained by Bangalore-based trainer Darius Byramji, ran a close third behind Classical Act and Kia Ora in the Airtel-RWITC Invitational Trophy (Grade 2) at the Pune Race Course on Sunday, 19th October 2003. Pentazocine, according to reliable sources, is a pain-killer.
